Renton Civic Theatre Presents: Dracula

Renton, WA – Enter the shadowy world of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, where gothic romance meets chilling suspense (with a touch of humor for good measure.) When a mysterious nobleman arrives in England, his dark secrets unleash a wave of terror that grips all who cross his path.

Our story starts with Jonathan Harker visiting Count Dracula’s castle in Transylvania to finalize a real estate transaction. Harker soon discovers Dracula’s bloodthirsty secret and narrowly escapes. The Count then moves to England, wreaking havoc as he goes and preying on victims until Abraham Van Helsing and his gang try to confront the monster before he can do any more murderous damage.

A unique feature of this story is that much of it is told through correspondence – letters illustrate the plot, detailing the mysterious deaths, the pursuit of Dracula as he makes his way through London, and the horrors befalling his victims as he goes on his famous spree.

Dracula is the blueprint for all vampires in the genre – there would be no Buffy the Vampire Slayer and certainly no Bella & Edward if not for Dracula and Bram Stoker’s visionary creation.

With its haunting atmosphere, compelling characters, and timeless battle between good and evil, this thrilling tale will keep you spellbound. Join us for a journey into the heart of darkness—if you dare!
